AUSTRALIA POST

AUSTRALIA POST INITIATIVE STATEMENT

To deliver Australia Post's first back-to-back enterprise agreement, providing a fair and sustainable wages outcome for 31,000 employees, while ensuring the flexibilities needed to transform Australia Post into a world class communications, retail and parcels provider.

Maintaining a stable and harmonious workplace, free from industrial action, was essential to provide certainty for all stakeholders, and to enable Australia Post to invest heavily to transform the business.

A strategy focusing on high levels of stakeholder engagement and transparency was deployed to accelerate the agreement making process, and to avoid the protracted disputation that had characterized previous negotiations.
