AHRI Student Members are invited to enter the Ram Charan Student Award which forms part of the 2018 AHRI Awards.

Tell us what the future of work in HR looks like to you and the challenges that this will present to HR professionals in an essay (2500 − 3500 words) for your chance to share in a total cash prize pool of $5000 and to attend the the AHRI Awards Dinner in Melbourne.

The 2018 Ram Charan Student Award will recognise undergraduate HR students who demonstrate excellence through the identification of issues, benefits and challenges for HR and organisations in the future.


The award is open to Australia-based undergraduate AHRI HR student members. Find out more about becoming an AHRI student member.


Applicants need to submit a 2,500 - 3,500 word essay. The essay will be based upon HR in the future and the issues, benefits and challenges for human resources and organisations in managing the future work environment.


The Ram Charan Award is free to enter for Australia-based undergraduate AHRI HR paid student members. Find out more about becoming an AHRI student member.


Register your interest in applying for the award by 18 May 2018. You will then receive an application pack detailing the essay requirements. Final applications are due 22 June 2017.


Total cash prize pool of AUS $5,000.  The winner will receive a total $3000 and remaining finalists $1000 each.

All finalists also receive a trophy and a complimentary ticket to attend the AHRI Awards Dinner in November 2018 where the winner will be announced. Where required, expenses for flights within Australia and accommodation for 1 night (for up to 3 finalists) will be covered by AHRI.
