Fiona is Founder and Principal of Diversity Knowhow; a specialist diversity and inclusion practice. Helping employers increase equity, diversity & inclusion to build diversity and organisation capability is Fiona’s passion. After an early career as a scientist, she draws on her extensive leadership, change and practical diversity and inclusion experience, providing strategic advice, education and consultancy assistance to assist her clients to shift the dial to increase diversity and organisation capability and performance.
Fiona is a member of the AHRI Inclusion & Diversity Reference Panel and a 2017 AHRI awards judge across a range of HR categories. Her executive leadership roles have included Head of Diversity & Inclusion at the University of Sydney, Head of Diversity at ANZ Bank, Director of the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency (1999-2004), CEO Girl Guides Australia, and CEO Asthma Foundation of NSW. She also led Diversity at Westpac, Esso, and Department of Agriculture. Her consulting clients include universities, financial services, mining, power, retail, policing, professional associations and not for profits. In 2014 Fiona launched her latest book “Diversity Unplugged – how leading CEOs champion workplace inclusion”.
